How to Conceive Baby with Artificial Insemination

Artificial Insemination is a reproductive technology process where sperm is placed directly in the uterus. Despite the fact that there are several factors that indicate the success rate of artificial insemination, woman’s age and ovary health being the most significant, this reproductive process has relatively high success rate, approximately 25% of women get pregnant per cycle.

However, as promising as artificial insemination may sound at first, it is not a procedure that is recommended for every couple. For example, if a man has problems with abnormal sperm, or if a woman has problems with blocked, damaged fallopian tubes or serious pelvic adhesions, this reproductive process is not a solution.

Artificial insemination is recommended to couples that are of trying to conceive for more than a year and unfortunately hadn’t had any success.

However, in preconception time both partners must incorporate healthy lifestyle options into their daily routine. First step includes eliminating coffee (if you have problems conceiving, you might even have to forget about that morning coffee for a while), and cutting smoking or recreational drug use. Did you know that coffee can decrease your chances of healthy conception (and increase chances of miscarriage) for more than 50%?

Think about that! Is that morning cup worth it?

Diet rich is grains, vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables and proteins, is good for your health. When a couple is trying to conceive, it is essential for a woman to make sure she is getting enough folic acid. Folic acid can be found in green leafy vegetable, oranges, whole grains, yeast etc. Folic acid actually belongs to group B vitamins and is a key factor in preventing birth defects, especially birth defects that are in connection with fetus’s brain and spine.

When trying to conceive, woman should definitely incorporate moderate exercise as her daily routine. “Moderate” is the key word here, because exercising too much or too little can really impact your body’s natural fertility, which can prevent you from becoming pregnant. For this reason, if you are planning to undergo a fertility treatment, such as artificial insemination, or perhaps you are just thinking about becoming pregnant, you must definitely consider the impact that exercise may have on your health and most of all your fertility levels.
