Food: Naturally Good, Excessively Bad or Obesity Ugly

Before you take your next bite decide whether it is naturally good, excessively bad or obesity ugly. Decisively eating is ingesting for cause. Appreciating what you eat and attaching purpose helps prevent you from eating for pleasure (excessively bad) or a crutch for stress (obesity ugly.)

Food should not be a major source of pleasure or crutch. Food is something that is necessary to survival. Without it you will eventually die. Food is death prevention, not pleasure production or stress reliever. Plain and simple. Stop giving it credit where it’s not due.

If you have decided to live a healthier lifestyle one of the key aspects is providing appropriately ample resources for your body to run in tip top condition. No matter what you do or with your life always start with the basics. The basics for a healthy body is understanding the primary survival functions of carbohydrates, protein and fats.

Carbohydrates are one of the main dietary components. The primary function of carbohydrates is to provide energy for the body, especially the brain and the nervous system. Your liver breaks down carbohydrates into glucose (blood sugar), which is used for energy by the body.

Proteins are complex organic compounds. The basic structure of protein is a chain of amino acids. Every cell in the human body contains protein. It is a major part of the skin, muscles, organs, and glands. Protein is also found in all body fluids, except bile and urine.

You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones. Protein is also important for growth and development during childhood, adolescence, and pregnancy.

Fats are organic compounds that are made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. They are a source of energy in foods. Fats belong to a group of substances called lipids, and come in liquid or solid form. All fats are combinations of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids.

Fat is essential for the proper functioning of the body. Fats provide essential fatty acids, which are not made by the body and must be obtained from food. The essential fatty acids are linoleic and linolenic acid. They are important for controlling inflammation, blood clotting, and brain development.

Fat serves as the storage substance for the body’s extra calories. It fills the fat cells (adipose tissue) that help insulate the body. Fats are also an important energy source. When the body has used up the calories from carbohydrate, which occurs after the first 20 minutes of exercise, it begins to depend on the calories from fat.

Healthy skin and hair are maintained by fat. Fat helps the body absorb and move the vitamins A, D, E, and K through the bloodstream.

Food is naturally good if ingested for body maintenance. Excessively bad when ingested for fun. Down right obesity ugly if ingested as a crutch.

Where in these basics do you find anything indicative of fun? Go climb a mountain if you want some fun.
